HAPPY EARTH DAY.......

The earth spins at an average speed of  1000 miles per hour. The reason why you don't feel it spin, is because it carries you along at the same speed. Sort of like when you travel on a fast moving train. You don't realize how fast you're going from your seat, except for when you look out the window. So after a long day, when you put your feet up and sit back on your chair,you're not sitting still at all. It's just an illusion ,you're actually moving at a speed of 1000 miles per hour, amazing!!! isn't it.

  •  It was founded in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson a then United States Senator From Wisconsin.
  • It is honored  globally on April 22.
  • It is the largest civic event in the world.
  • It provides a support base for environmental programs, and rekindles public commitment worldwide.
  • Earth day gave birth to the Earth Day Network which has an international network of 22,000 organisations in 192 countries.
You mustn't wait for April 22 to live up to your environmental responsibility. Do your part, change a habit, switch off your lights when you are not in the room.  Don't leave the tap running while you brush your teeth. Swap your traditional batteries for rechargeable ones.Do something nice for the earth.

Food, sustains. art,  expresses . So, what do you get when you combine them?   Rice , has been described as a staple food, for more than half of the world's population. It is typically grown in flooded fields known as rice paddies. Through the tanbo art process, rice paddies are being transformed into stunning works of art. It began,in  Inakadate , Japan. In 1993, the first rice paddy art was created, using purple and yellow rice plants. It was the picture of Mt. Iwaki along with letters.
