WHAT IS SUSTAINABILITY'S PRICE?

The word "sustainable" continues to be affixed to many fields of endeavor. For example, Sustainable Agriculture, Sustainable Banking, Sustainable Engineering, Sustainable Real estate, the list goes on. But what does it truly mean? The most quoted definition of sustainable development is from the Bruntdland Report/ Our Common Future. - " Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". In other wards, Sustainability means addressing present needs, whilst putting those of the future into perspective. This requires, continuous commitment, and most often than not, twice the effort.
